The Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County preserves the history of our community through the records of local governments, individuals, families, businesses and organizations. We keep the traces of the past and make them available for research.

The archives is open for research Monday to Thursday, 9.30am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm or by appointment.

Our Community Archives was established in 2010 as a three-way partnership between:

Each partner has substantial collections of archival materials that help us understand our communities. Through the Community Archives, the materials of all three partners can be stored in the proper environment to preserve them and make them available for future generations. If you are responsible for records in a Hastings County municipality, you may be interested in our Guide for transferring records to the Archives.

Or you might prefer to loan materials to the Archives for digitization, so that they can be shared with others through the Archives’ collection of photographs on the Flickr website.
